By popular request, here are some (of the nicer) photos from my visit to Fes, Marrakech and the Zagora desert.

FES

Medina marketplace Alleyways Medersa el-AttarineOrnamental fixtures A cute but forlorn looking donkey Shops in the streets A mosque entrance Colourful handmade cloths  A local specialty - mint tea Night scene

MARRAKECH

Red mud walls Stalls in the Jamaa el Fna Square   Carpets, rugs and pillowcases  Museum interior Ben Youssef Medersa  Medersa foyer Night time in Jamaa el Fna One of the many foodstalls in the square

ZAGORA DESERT

Atlas valleys Ait Benhadou - where The Gladiator was filmed, or so we were told Lunch at Ourzazate Our guide and our rides to the desert campsite   Sunset camel ride  Morning outside our Bivouac tent Sunrise in Draa Valley Shadows in the sand Going home

There are plenty of other photos, but are either not as nice or slightly gory (I had the opportunity to taste some snails and sheep’s brains while I was there). The bunch of friends whom I went with have a lot of great pictures taken as well, but I have not included them here. I might sign up for a Flickr account later and when and if that happens, I will post them there. For the time being, enjoy the ones above! =)

heya.. hmm.. we got really, really cheap flights on promotion so i don’t think we spent more than 300 pounds on everything (lodging inclusive).. we were there for 6 days and 5 nights =)

hey.. sorry i took so long to reply to u.. didn’t realise there was a comment here.. hehe. ya I really enjoyed myself, ’cause the experience was so different from everywhere else I’ve been to – the people, the culture, the landscape – everything. but, I don’t think a trip to Morocco from Malaysia will be cheap though.. so it depends on your budget.. expenditure in Morocco itself won’t be too bad, but you’d have to see how much it costs to fly there and back. Cambodia should be quite interesting, a couple of my friends went there last summer, I think. =D
